1. Acceptance
By installing, accessing, or using Task CLI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by Simples Media ("we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Task CLI is a command-line task management tool with cloud sync. The Service includes:
- The Task CLI binary application
- Cloud synchronization and storage of tasks, projects, and teams
- Email-based authentication
- Team collaboration features
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
4. Free Trial & Paid Plans
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with access to all features. After the trial, a Pro subscription is required to continue using the Service. Pricing is listed at /pricing. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. Payment & Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly through Paddle, our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. You can cancel at any time, and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
6. Sharing & Collaboration
Pro subscribers can share projects with other users via email invitation. All project members share access to the project's tasks. The project owner is responsible for managing members.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the CLI binary
- Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
- Use automated means to create accounts or abuse rate limits
8. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We store your tasks, projects, and account data to provide the Service. You retain ownership of your data.
9. Availability
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We are not liable for any loss resulting from Service unavailability.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data 30 days after account termination.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Simples Media shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the CLI. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
